What to Watch

Louisiana will deliver its eight electoral votes to Mitt Romney, and Republicans will retain all of their House seats in the state outside of the liberal bastion of New Orleans.

Voter Suppression

Louisiana voters must provide a photo ID in many cases, unless they sign an affidavit. The state has never ratified the 24th Amendment, which banned poll taxes.
